Since the theme for this month at the bakebakebake community is burnt sugar, I figured it'd be the perfect time to attempt Crème brûlée which is one of my favourite desserts. It was fairly simple to find a recipe, and so I'm proud to present pictures and whatnot of my Crème brûlée adventure and hope you too, get a chance to try it out. (They tasted fabulous).

As aforementioned, here are the results from my fun with fondant =)

Also, when re-reading this particular part, I saw some unintentional parallels between the latter part of this chapter and xenodike’s Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who’s the prettiest boy of them all… which is one of my favourite spangels and has undoubtedly influenced my fic. So since I do recognize the similarity- credit is due to her fabulous piece (although I think mine is sufficiently different that it is not plagiarism.) Also, I’m borrowing (after asking!) the concept of the Most Favoured bond and general vampire hierarchy from mithril_56 and her fic, Most Favoured. The concept of Most Favoured has also been used before by Ducks in her(his?) fic, The Storm.
